From Losenheim, you can reach the Edelweisshut at the Fadensattel on foot in just under an hour. An even more leisurely option is the Schneeberg chairlift: it takes you almost all the way to the hut.
Once you reach the top, you can refuel with hearty hut fare and enjoy the sweeping views from the terrace. On a clear day, the view stretches across the countryside all the way to Lake Neusiedl.
If you don’t feel like heading back down after a meal or a cozy evening at the hut, you can simply stay up there: the Edelweisshütte offers overnight accommodations.
The hut is also a great starting point for further hikes on the Schneeberg.
